The QR code generator makes QR codes for links, WiFi, events, business cards, SMS, email and phone numbers. You can put your company logo in the middle, choose colours and download the code as PNG, JPG, WEBP, SVG or PDF. The code is made in your browser, it is free and needs no login.
Many free QR generators make so-called dynamic QR codes. The code then doesn’t point to your page but to a short link at the provider, which forwards the visitor. That lets the provider record every scan — time, phone and approximate location — and the code stops working if the trial period ends or the provider shuts down.
Here the code is static. Your link is stored directly in the QR code itself, so the phone opens exactly the address you typed — no detour. Nobody records who scans it, and the code works for as long as your own page exists. That is also why you can safely print it on signs, posters and business cards.
If you want to measure how many visitors come from the code, add a UTM parameter to your link, e.g. ?utm_source=poster. The numbers then end up in your own analytics and not with a third party.
Choose WiFi, enter the network name Guest-Office and the password, and select WPA/WPA2/WPA3.
Put the code in a frame at reception, in the meeting room or in the canteen. Guests point their camera at the code and are online — nobody has to spell out a long password.
Annual general meeting, Christmas party or summer party: choose Event and fill in the title, time and place. The phone offers to add it to the calendar.
If people need to sign up, make a link code to the registration form instead — with the association’s logo in the middle — and put it on the poster and the notice board.
Choose Business card and fill in name, job title, company, phone and email. Print the code on the back of the business card, in your email signature or at your trade-fair stand.
Whoever scans it gets your details straight into their contacts — without having to type them in.
Other good places: the menu on the table, a link to reviews at the till, a product manual on the packaging, a link to the application page in a job advert, or to the staff handbook on the notice board.
A static code can’t be changed once it is printed. Let the code point to an address you control and can redirect if the page moves — e.g. company.com/menu rather than a long address at a supplier.
If you use a QR service that records scans, it processes personal data on your behalf. A static code avoids that entirely.
Always test the code with a phone before you print a larger run.
A code that goes through a tracking service can reveal who showed an interest in a union meeting. With a clean code, the scan goes straight to your own page.
If images for the poster are going to be shared, first remove GPS location and other hidden information with the metadata remover.
