About the PDF & Image Editor

The PDF & Image Editor sorts PDF files and images and merges them into one document — all in your browser, with no upload to a server. Ideal for putting together payslips, rotas and other series of documents. The pages follow the order of the files in the list.

What can the editor do?
  • File types: PDF, JPG, PNG and WEBP — you can mix them all in one merge. Browsers cannot read iPhone photos in HEIC format; save them as JPG first.
  • Merging: All files in the list are combined into a single PDF document, in the order the list shows. Delete any files you don’t want before you merge.
  • Rotation: Select the files and click “Rotate all” to turn them 90° at a time — both PDFs and images.
  • Cropping and splitting: Crop an image to A4 format with the crop button in its row, and split a PDF into single pages with “Split”. On touch screens the buttons are always visible; with a mouse they appear when you point at the row.
  • Date recognition: Numbers in the file name (2026-01, 01-2026, 31.01.2026 – day first) and Danish month names (januar 2026, jan.2026) are recognised and used for date sorting. Month names in other languages are not, so prefer numbers. The file name wins over the PDF’s own creation date.
  • Security: Files are processed only locally in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
Explanation of the fields
  • Adding files: Drag and drop files or click to choose. You can add many files at once.
  • Sorting: The files first appear in the order you added them. Sort by name, date, type or size — or change the order manually by dragging and dropping.
  • Edit file name/date: Double-click a name or date in the list to change it. Select several files and click “Edit dates” to give them all the same date at once.
  • Merge: Click “Merge and download” — the combined PDF is downloaded automatically.

Examples

Put the year’s payslips together

Add 12 monthly payslips as PDFs. The editor recognises the months in the file names (e.g. Payslip_2026-01). Choose sorting by “Date created” and they run from January to December.

Click “Merge and download” — the result is one combined PDF, ready to send to a bank or an authority.

Output:payslips_2025.pdf

Mix PDFs and images

Add a PDF contract and a JPG scan of a signed receipt. They are merged into one document in the order of the list.

Images are converted into PDF pages automatically during the merge.

Output:Combined PDF
If you are an employer, keep in mind

The editor is well suited to preparing document packs for employees or authorities — but it does not replace a document management system with access control and versioning.

Large files (over about 50 MB per file) may be slower to process, depending on your computer’s performance.

If you are an employee, keep in mind

Your files never leave your computer — all processing happens in the browser. It is safe to use for confidential documents such as payslips and contracts.

Use the rotation function to fix scanned files that are the wrong way up — it works for both PDFs and added image files. The rotation applies to the whole file.
